About Me

In the AI Era, Perspective Defines Possibility

I'm Lechuan Wang, an MSc student in Business Analytics at HKUST (2025–Jan 2027, expected), holding dual degrees in Statistics from CUEB and Statistics & Data Science from the University of Arizona.

"I believe data skills are the foundation — but the real value lies in translating insights into decisions that stakeholders actually act on. That's how I define my role: an analyst who bridges data and business judgment through communication."

My core strength lies in combining statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI Agent capabilities with real financial business contexts — with end-to-end experience from requirements analysis through model deployment in equity investment, quant analysis, and data products.

At the 2025 graduation ceremony, I was the sole departmental honor student to speak on behalf of all graduates, receiving the Outstanding Senior Award from the Dean. My experience across finance, technology, and academia forms a uniquely differentiated profile.

Marathon Mindset

Marathon isn't just a sport — it's my mental framework for tackling complexity. Across 42 kilometers, there are no shortcuts. Only rhythm, endurance, and focus.

In the 2023 Beijing Railway Marathon, I finished 15th in the full 42km event. That's exactly how I approach data and AI projects: never avoid complexity — just run the full distance. Fluent English, TOEFL 98.
